A major private specialty
Physician Clinic in Southeast US required a Patient Information System
(PIS) to provide patient responsibility charges information through
repositioning of payment rules engine at the "front-end" of the process
or at the Time of Service (TOS). The PIS allows clinic to collect
patient responsibility charges at checkout thereby accelerating revenue
cycle, improving cash flow and Accounts Receivables (A/R), reducing
write-offs and operating expenses, and enhancing Payor compliance(s) by
monitoring Payor(s) Fee Schedule for Managed Care Contracts.
The PIS is a three-tier web architecture
based on Microsoft .Net, ASP, SQL Server, and Smart Client technology. This architecture provides flexibility, scalability, and a robust system for
future growth.
